I worked at Arizona Public Service Company full-time (More than 10 years)
This is a stable company with lots of opportunities in a wide variety of environments - office, field, plant, etc. The culture is changing, but is still an "old school" feel in many areas.
There has been an extraordinary amount of leadership change at all levels of the company. Certainly, this has produced some great new insights and perspectives, but has also caused a simmering tension with longtime employees who are very unsure of the company's future.
Advice to Management
Be sure to find the appropriate balance between bringing in new employees and leveraging longtime employees. New doesn't necessarily equal good, and longtime doesn't necessarily equal bad.
