    I worked at Arjo full-time

    Pros

If you suck up to board members (ELM) you can possibly get ahead.

    Cons

No work life balance. Routine to have conference calls with global headquarters in Sweden at 4am due to the time zone difference and senior management ineptness. Since the systems were not set up correctly, the CEO and former CFO cooked the books to fool global so they could close the books at month end. The billing system did not work correctly so customers were dramatically overcharged and many refused to pay, resulting in many customers leaving for Hill-Rom.

    Advice to Management

Listen to lower management and pay heed to their warnings. Stop falsifying documents. Hire better quality employees instead of those that graduated from night school with a 'C' average.

"BLEW THE WHISTLE FOR POOR MANAGEMENT DECISION THAT COMPROMISED PATIENT CARE AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.............."

I worked at Arjo full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

great before Arjo took over Huntleigh was very patient and safety oriented! alot of on going good training and a team that really looked out for their employees and and it was a great atmosphere!! decent work / life balance back then too!!!! all good until Arjo took over then it all changed.

    Cons

Arjo management steps in and purchases Huntleigh and then rearranges how things get done, They changed procedures and began taking shortcuts in my territory. This left the ability to provide 100% clean, ready, tested and patient ready product impossible. Too many calls to properly address the issue. I stepped up after 4+ weeks of this and reported it to senior management ( after numerous attempts to resolve it with my immediate supervisor) it helped, I did the right thing I lost my job due to supervisor retaliation, but Arjo upper management did make changes . At least the patients got what what they should have gotten all along, Too bad at my expense by loosing my job.But I would not change a thing!!! THE PATIENTS COME FIRST.................

    Advice to Management

Be fair and get the mentality that the PATIENTS SAFETY is most important!! stop the shortcuts and be fair to those that report bad management and deal with it correctly! Terminating any employee for reporting safety and OSHA violations by bad management should not be tolerated!!

    Pros

fellow engineers OK to work with

    Cons

Marketing, QA, Regulatory, HR and Senior Management Driven. Little time and respect for those further down the ladder despite corporate mantras about people driven and investors in people. Usual waffle given to foo the public

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees as these are the people who do the job day in and day out and who know what they are doing

    Pros

Very competitive salary and budget for travel and training. Very flexible working structure

    Cons

-Lack of information from business segment to business segment -Really poor working structure and processes -Recruitment is based more on how much you smile and wave rather than what you actually know -No structure , organisation or real communication across key decisions implemented in the business -People pleasing attitude without real focus for what the business needs -Wrong people for the wrong job, in-experienced under achieving, poor etiquette individuals in senior management roles. - Lack of expertise in seeing through a genuine and a falsified CV

    Advice to Management

-Acknowledge the performers in your teams. -Be prepared to remove individuals and re-recruit -Revise the sales structure in certain parts of the world to provide long and short term based care solutions rather than a "candy shop" pick and mix sales pitch. -Learn to recruit individuals and then monitor their performance rather than how well they sell themselves.

I have been working at Arjo full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Nice international environment, good products. Company has a big potential.

    Cons

Bad atmosphere, micromanaging, people are not being listened to. Communication is poor from the senior management. Promises are not being kept. No career or development possibilities. Long term employees are not being valued.

    Advice to Management

Start saying what you are doing and start doing what you’re saying. If you commit to people development, do it. You must start seeing and enjoying your peaople growing and being successful instead of letting them go.

I worked at Arjo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good people around that really want to do what's best for the company.

    Cons

Some new marketing management that seem oblivious to reality. Senior Management doesn't have a clear goal what to achieve which results in unaligned actions taking place.

    Advice to Management

Set ONE goal and then outline the main direction (Strategy) to get to that goal. Stick to it for more than one year at a time. The goal ought to be clear to all and exciting.
