Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Great place to be

Oct 11, 2022 - Principal Engineer in Austin, TX

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Arm is a great place to work, highly collaborative and helpful coworkers, and amazing work-life balance. Vacation policies are extremely generous compared to most every tech company, and I've had no problem taking requested time off.

    Cons

The pay doesn't seem quite as good as some other options out there, but it is quite respectable, especially considering the work/life balance provided.

    Cons

Recent changes have changed the original, creative culture at arm. Now just another company taking whatever measures necessary to complete tasks as inexpensively as possible without regards to employee impact.
