I worked at Armani Exchange full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The discounts were great. The managers were flexible with scheduling. Retail hours are great if you are in school and want to work nights and weekends.

    Cons

Holiday hours and black out days come with every retail job. Shipment is only a couple times a week but heavy.

    Advice to Management

    Plan accordingly

    Pros

enjoyable work environment, awesome payrate and hours, easygoing atmosphere with coworkers and dressing up customers fashionably is fun!

    Cons

MISCOMMUNICATION MISLEADING BUSINESS, Upper management DOES NOT communicate efficiently and will fire you on the spot ZERO job security in this company doesnt matger which store or who you work for. All the same horrible dirty business.

    Advice to Management

Be honest in business matters, business IS business, do not be bias just say how the company works thats it.

I worked at Armani Exchange part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved the intimate feeling of the store. It felt like a boutique where clients were guaranteed an experience worth returning for.

    Cons

Due to the limitations the store had with being able to place signage on the front of the store affected the traffic this location received leading to its closure.

    Advice to Management

Create more comfortable dress code so clients can see Armani Exchange being accessible and ready to wear.

I worked at Armani Exchange part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Relaxed work place
    Nice people
    Understanding and professional management
    Discount for employees
    Low pressure goals
Would have been room for minimal growth

    Cons

Corporate pressure on management daily unfolds onto sales associates
Held to a standard of professionalism, not necessarily a con but something to think about
Standards for how store should look are high
Lots of time on feet, retail hours, being in a mall, etc. (most are in a mall)
    No room for higher pay

    Advice to Management

My location was recently closed. We were notified two weeks before, right before Christmas. Not professional or respectful of corporate to a "work family" or long-term, hardworking employees. Take better care of employees. Money, goals, and business are not more important than employees day to day needs. If they are satisfying your requests consider theirs.

I worked at Armani Exchange part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discounted clothes & really forces you to get out of your comfort zone in order to sell efficiently...that's pretty much it

    Cons

Needed to seek a minimum of $145/hr to keep your job; had to wear their clothes but only if it was fully stocked (e.g. If the store no longer had the shirt you purchased in a small, you couldn't wear it anymore); plus, because we started as closers we needed to sell enough in the 3-4 hours we were open to make up for the 4-5 hours the store would be closed! Finally, due to the need to make at least the minimum to keep your job, the employees were constantly fighting over clients and single articles of clothing that they helped the clients with. It was everyone for themselves. Oh and the music was meant to resemble a "party or club atmosphere" so it was always so loud that clients couldn't hear us speak to them and they were constantly complaining about it. Needless to say, few people lasted longer than 2 months at a time.

I worked at Armani Exchange part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free clothes(outfit) every season
    Fun atmosphere
    Wide range of international customers

    Cons

    -the worst commission structure ever
    - the amount of time you work (part time) literally pays for your parking
    - Ok staff but everyone is out for blood! Amani pays pennies for thousands of dollars in sales and you have to make sure the cashier puts your name in for that sale or you won't get credit.
    - Again it's a cut throat sales job that isn't worth it... you hound people as they walk in so that you can get their commissions if they purchase something.

    Advice to Management

I don't work there anymore so I have no advice... go into business for your own and don't make these people rich from buying their overpriced threads!
