I have been working at Armstrong Steel full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

-Management staff is always on hand ready to help -LOVE talking to the warm leads that they provide you daily, you get to talk to some very interesting customers who are serious about their purchase. -I don't feel like I am using "high-pressure" tactics to get the customer to buy. The approach is to problem solve and just have simple conversations with each customer to determine their needs. -The environment here is...

    Cons

-Would like to see more morning meetings. I love our morning meetings, we typically have 2 or 3 a week but I wish we could have one every day because they get me pumped up and excited to take on the day. -We have food trucks come every once in a while but I wish they could come more often

    Advice to Management

-Bring back the Sales Team Fantasy League... that was a blast!!!

    Pros

None that i can think of

    Cons

No training, high turnover, all they do is ask you to read off of a script and encourage lying to customers. Once heard an employee lie to an old veteran about having a veteran discount when really he was just tricking him into thinking that he was getting a low price.

    Pros

Laid back work environment... that is literally it.

    Cons

Management is an absolute joke and not one thing that comes from their mouth will hold up. On to the CEO... he is an absolute piece of work. Over the course of 60 days, he stole 10’s of thousands of commission dollars from his sales reps. He tried to justify it, but just ended up looking like a loser. Only about 4 people really benefit on the sales floor and guess who those people are? Money can be made there, but watch...

    Advice to Management

Stop ruining the lives of other to benefit yours. Stop posting positive reviews on here as if you are a happy employee. Even current employees can’t stand you guys. They just have to stick around to collect their hard earned money, if Ethan will allow it.

    Pros

Meet cool people. Mon-Fri 8-5. Softball Team. All positive sales job reviews are written directly by management(2-4 people) who benefit. They literally write the reviews and respond to them themselves. They are honest about how much money can be made. It will just be made by them, even if you did the work, so they didn't actually lie.

    Cons

Commission withheld upon separation, took a complaint to the state to receive compensation. Many complaints are active with state, and you will be paid out if you follow through to settlement or further. Compensation structure was changed 3 times in 6 months, only benefiting the CEO in the end. Pay will NEVER be consistent, no matter what they tell you. No PTO or Holiday pay for sales people Integrity, zero. The...

    Advice to Management

You have zero respect or ethics to run a business, you should be shut down and barred from ever operating a business again. Stop flagging bad reviews about yourself on different platforms. People should know how you are actually doing business.

None that I can think of, except for a paycheck and a mundane life.

    Cons

Commission withheld upon separation, took a complaint to the state to receive compensation. Many complaints are active with state, and you will be paid out if you follow through to settlement or further. Integrity, none. The full price of the building components are not disclosed or talked about until after the customer puts down deposit, which is non-refundable, strong arming the customers to continue with their overpriced...

I have been working at Armstrong Steel full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Working at Armstrong Steel has been a great experience for me, but I understand it hasn't been the greatest experience for every person who has walked through the doors. I truly believe any job is what you make it. Over the past several months, this company has undergone many changes and recommitted to its employees. The CEO has even been making strong and conscious efforts to connect with all levels of the staff. It's...

    Cons

I'd like to see even more focus on customer service and more people join that company who can share those positive values and care about customer relations. Not everything will always go perfect, but I've seen a huge revival of many team members doing what they can do to help in any way they can. Also, low morale can be a real thing, but you don't have to fall in line when everyone else is down and engage in a pity party....

    Advice to Management

If I had advice to management, I'm lucky enough in my position that I would go and speak directly to them. Many times they have listened to my advice and implemented change if the idea helped the company in any way. Thank you for being available to me.
