I worked at Armstrong World Industries full-time

    Pros

Great supportive atmosphere. Good training program, with opportunity to move up in the organization. Well respected product line that was easy to sell.

    Cons

There were really no big cons to working for Armstrong, other than the fact that it is a large corporation and if you need a smaller atmosphere it might seem too big.

    Advice to Management

Continue to innovate with new products and into new markets to give your sales teams the opportunity to grow the company.

    Pros

People in Marietta seem to care about all employees. Employees heavily involved and consulted about the process and work. Fast paced environment but it doesn't get boring.

    Cons

Movement is high, I routinely clock 5-7 miles a day. Other than that it's a great environment in the Marietta plant. Keep up the good work.

I worked at Armstrong World Industries as an intern

    Pros

    - Gave me a ton of independence and freedom to complete my work.
    - All of the employees were extremely nice and welcoming to me.
    - Supervisor gave me enough guidance to get going, but not so much that I didn't learn a few things on my own.
    - Paid well and offered 401k contributions.

    Cons

    - They ran a 24 hr plant and wanted me to come in on different shifts (It's not healthy for a person to have such an inconsistent schedule) although it was never forced.
    - At times, not enough of an idea of what I was supposed to be working on that day.
