I have been working at Armstrong World Industries full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Benefits: health, dental, 401k, etc. -Colleagues: genuine people to work with who truly want to see you succeed, and create a fun working environment -Growth Opportunities: management is willing to help you grow and succeed- even if it's in other areas of the organization

    Cons

-Outdated offices on some areas of campus. Could use some new paint to make the working environment more exciting -Sometimes has an "old school" feel, but they're working to be more forward and progressive thinking

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in your workforce. They're your greatest asset

I worked at Armstrong World Industries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the most amazing people to work with. Everyone is always will to pitch in, very team environment. Very safety oriented organization.

    Cons

Strategic plan seems to be confused, organization is getting smaller with the sale of all EMEA and Asian assets. Plants seem to be under disarray.

    Advice to Management

Pick a strategy and stick with it.

I worked at Armstrong World Industries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very thoughtful about employees, policies that are pro-employee, lost of history available from other employees,

    Cons

No drive, no killer instinct, dont give employee ownership of stock.... its really a pension fund that runs a company, rather then the other way around...

    Advice to Management

try to get employees with 50 years of experience to think like its 2020 rather than 1970

I worked at Armstrong World Industries full-time

    Pros

Great supportive atmosphere. Good training program, with opportunity to move up in the organization. Well respected product line that was easy to sell.

    Cons

There were really no big cons to working for Armstrong, other than the fact that it is a large corporation and if you need a smaller atmosphere it might seem too big.

    Advice to Management

Continue to innovate with new products and into new markets to give your sales teams the opportunity to grow the company.

I have been working at Armstrong World Industries

    Pros

People in Marietta seem to care about all employees. Employees heavily involved and consulted about the process and work. Fast paced environment but it doesn't get boring.

    Cons

Movement is high, I routinely clock 5-7 miles a day. Other than that it's a great environment in the Marietta plant. Keep up the good work.
