I worked at AroundCampus as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful opportunity to develop soft skills
    Looks good on a resume
    Real sales experience
    Flexible working hours
    Low paying

    Cons

Product is antequated, so it is tough to really believe in it
Business owners are not enthusiastic about it
    Can be disheartening,

    Advice to Management

Update the product, and do not push the 30 businesses a day goal. Focus on sales not businesses visited. This will encourage interns to spend more time with each client and build better relationships

    Develop fantastic sales skills

    Cons

Long days filled with driving around town for a product a lot of people don't want

    Advice to Management

Provide gas money and have managers come more.

I worked at AroundCampus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The resume building experience was the only pro. This is for people looking for b2b experience that dont want to make very much money even if you are a top performer.

    Cons

A company that does not do anything they say. Promises are never delivered to both their customers nor employees. Very dishonest organization. I would never work for this company again and sound a clear warning to those contemplating possible employment opportunities or advertising opportunities with this company. Dont do it or you'll regret it! !!

    Advice to Management

Get on top of it! It's so frustrating as an employee to be constantly hounding you to get results so that I can do my job!

    Pros

Good sales experience and energetic management.

    Cons

Overall a bad brand and bad products that you are selling.

    Advice to Management

Come around to different territories more often and make sure that your sales people are actually completing their standards.

    Pros

Training was very in depth and highly focused on success. You learn everything you need to know to be successful and conquer rejections.

    Cons

Management just throws you out there on your own. Support is slim when it comes to a struggling territory. No data is provided either, which is hard to pitch without it, especially in todays world.

    Advice to Management

Let your winner territories do their thing, focus more on the struggling territories more.

    - Great commission table

    Cons

I have been working at AroundCampus as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great experience doing B2B sales. They have amazing connections to big companies you could work for after you graduate.

    Cons

You don't get paid much for the work that is required. (Only $200 a week working 40 hours a week is $5 an hour). Plus they stop paying you after 7 weeks and the internship is anywhere from 10-12 weeks long. The training is completely exhausting, we trained anywhere from 15-18 hours a day and you become very sleep deprived.

    Advice to Management

Pay the interns more! Give us more free time during the training and don't train until 3 in the morning. Sleep deprivation does not help people learn.

    Pros

Got Amazing experience and training in Sales. Job offers after. Working for a company that really cares and tries to help you after the internship

    Cons

Very difficult work and pay may not seem like its worth it, but the experience and job offers after is.
Payment for Work is not what it should be

    Advice to Management

more incentives for top earning employees. The training was good, be more upfront with what the internship is during the initial interview
