I have been working at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

Amazing internship training program. This internship gives you real hands on experience and is a true "work hard - play hard" atmosphere. Management is very supportive and I feel like I gain 50 new mentors who genuinely cared about me!

    Cons

Pay isn't great until you are a high performer (but that's like any real sales job)

Days are long and it's a lot of work but worth it if you stick it out till the end.

    Advice to Management

Make sure interns are in it for the long-haul! It's a great internship!

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

Pay for your training including a plane ticket
Friendly management that is available to help
You get to work with a team that provides support
    You get paid weekly
Meet new people and force yourself out of your comfort zone

    Cons

I thought the training was too regimented at times
I found my own sales approach to be more effective then their 'by the book' approach.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on teaching interns the value of your products and why businesses can benefit from them compared to other advertising alternatives.

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

-Great Sales Academy training that really prepares you for a successful career in sales.
-Regional and Divisional managers are amazing! They are there to support you through the whole process and ensure your success
    - All the tools you need to succeed over the summer are handed to you

    Cons

I, unfortunately, had a very tough area to work in and heard the word "no" or "get out of my business" more times than I can count. Outside sales can be extremely stressful and discouraging, however, if you are passionate about a sales career, you can't beat this internship experience.

    Advice to Management

Make sure interns are actually receiving their promised commission

    Pros

One of many internships worth trying. You will learn many things that you wouldn't learn working in the office.

    Cons

You will mostly work outside. Oftentimes this can be exhausting especially when you are working during the peak Summer time.

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

Great coaching and training from corporate as well as your managers. They hire great people which make for a great company culture and atmosphere.

    Cons

Long hours as well as big expectations. Can be a tough environment to work in since it is sales and can be a tough sell if you're not ready to take rejections.

    Advice to Management

Keep a positive focus on rebounding from tough weeks and make it a less competitive atmosphere to where interns don't feel so much pressure to perform, but in turn that same pressure drives sales. All-in all great experience.
