I worked at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

One of many internships worth trying. You will learn many things that you wouldn't learn working in the office.

    Cons

You will mostly work outside. Oftentimes this can be exhausting especially when you are working during the peak Summer time.

    Advice to Management

Enabling lead positions to do their job.

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern

    Pros

Great coaching and training from corporate as well as your managers. They hire great people which make for a great company culture and atmosphere.

    Cons

Long hours as well as big expectations. Can be a tough environment to work in since it is sales and can be a tough sell if you're not ready to take rejections.

    Advice to Management

Keep a positive focus on rebounding from tough weeks and make it a less competitive atmosphere to where interns don't feel so much pressure to perform, but in turn that same pressure drives sales. All-in all great experience.

    Cons

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good resume builder, friendly coworkers, relaxed atmosphere. I never became too stressed and the experience with other interns was nice and lead to friendships.

    Cons

The days start to feel long and repetitive. Thankfully the internship didn't last any longer than 2 months. Once you begin to understand how to do your job, there's plenty of time to do other things

    Advice to Management

Give your interns more to do or don't hire as many interns. If your interns are through with all of the work they've been assigned, don't be upset with them if they start to do other things on their laptops. Just let them go home early if necessary.

I worked at AroundCampus as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful opportunity to develop soft skills
    Looks good on a resume
    Real sales experience
    Flexible working hours
    Low paying

    Cons

Product is antequated, so it is tough to really believe in it
Business owners are not enthusiastic about it
    Can be disheartening,

    Advice to Management

Update the product, and do not push the 30 businesses a day goal. Focus on sales not businesses visited. This will encourage interns to spend more time with each client and build better relationships

    Pros

You will have a lot of fun during training. A huge opportunity to find your career through them. Financial Firms love AroundCampus.

    Cons

Have to stay dedicated, even though can be very stressful. Base pay is small and must work hard to make a decent amount over that. The lectures during training can be very long and boring.
