    I worked at Arriva full-time

    Pros

Management pay and benefits are very generous

    Cons

Poor culture of bullying and intimidation which there is no appetite to address. Performance management consists of being shouted at and threatened in front of colleagues. Even at the highest level of management peer managers threaten and intimidate each other and the MD chooses not to deal with as the instigators have been there for years and are his trusted colleagues. Poor planning - generally tactics/strategy are planned on the way into the relevant meeting rather than with any real thought or strategic insight. Pay and benefits for driving staff are very low.

    Advice to Management

Its 2017, professional businesses don't behave like this anymore - you need to develop a culture of openness and respect, stamp out the old school bully boys - treat staff in a way that shows they are valued and important, not just nameless commodities that can be easily replace - they cant! Fewer and fewer people will work for the remuneration and shift patterns on offer here.
