I have been working at Arriva (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Steady job, weekly pay, reasonable hourly rate.

    Cons

VERY dull work. Long hours (shift spreads can be 12 hours and your average paid week is around 44 hours. Add the actual shift spread and you'll be at work 50+ hours per week easily).

    Advice to Management

Hire more staff and spread the hours around. Shorter shifts.

I have been working at Arriva full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

there is only one reason that I work for this company is the wages are much better than most other company's.

    Cons

Trying to keep to the impossible times on some of the routes. management know we need more time but because it means spending money they wont give us any. They just keep making excuses.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the people on the front line. and less on the figures you keep coming up ith on your paper work.

I have been working at Arriva full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good Money for the Job
    Worked with some great people

    Cons

Management were oblivious to Staff Concerns
You were disciplined at the drop of a hat
To get anywhere near justice you had to fight
Union reps were worse than useless

    Advice to Management

Listen more to your staff than you ever did to your passengers
Get off your backsides and get out at least once a week to do a driving shift, see it from the other side
