I worked at Arvest Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some nice people, decent pay in some departments, located in NWA...a great place to live

    Cons

Arvest has failed to keep up with the banking industry with regard to online tools. Extremely conservative environment.

In my department, dealt with an extreme micromanager who micromanaged me right out the door. Also, one member of our team took about double the time off we were allowed...great for building team morale. People outside the dept often commented on both, making for a less than stellar work environment.

There are a lot of "nice" people here, but most with marketable skills leave within a few years. There are way too many people who have never worked anywhere else, which isnt a good thing. Not recommended if you are forward thinking and looking to work in an innovative environment.

    Advice to Management

Promote smart people who know what they're doing, not "nice" people who dont.

I have been working at Arvest Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company culture. Arvest is undergoing vision 2020 which is geared towards sales and loan originations. Working there has been great. You receive incentives, profit sharing, retirement profit sharing, and direct payout incentives.

    Cons

If you don't like change, banking is not the career for you. Arvest is undergoing several different internal changes to cut costs and run a more efficient business.

I worked at Arvest Holdings part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The salary was pretty good as a teller. I was making 9.50 and after 6 months it went to 10.00. Holidays are off and from what I had seen if you are full-time you get great benefits.

    Cons

Your schedule is very strict. At my branch there was hardly any wiggling around in terms of what hours/days you worked.

    Advice to Management

Remember to put customers first. They seem to be unhappy with increased fees.
