I have been working at Asbury Automotive full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the management are absolutely wonderful- Dan is amazing! My co-workers are simply amazing. They offer benefits and pto.

    Cons

You don’t get paid enough or receive any raises what so ever for the amount of stuff piled on top of you. Corporate has taken over entirely to much on things I personally think need to be handled in store due to having angry customers/vendors.

    Advice to Management

Give raises more than just once every 4-6 years even if it’s just cost of living. Praise your employees every once in a while instead of making them feel like they are never good enough.. don’t throw new managers into a position without proper training. That is setting them up for failure. And give sick time and let us have back the set holidays. Since they turned them to floating holidays the managers don’t want us to take the holidays off. I personally enjoy my family and like to celebrate holidays with my family.

    Pros

Weekly pay is nice. Beautiful modern office environment. I met a lot of great co workers that i am still friends with.

    Cons

Lack of consistent communication between management. Very high turnover. Give employees salaries that are comparable with experience. Some managers speak with people like they are children.

I have been working at Asbury Automotive full-time

    Pros

Co-workers in the automotive industry are casual/comfortable, not uptight like some office environments tend to be.

    Cons

The work/life balance is horrible, 12 "TOTAL" PTO days and 2 holidays per year.

    Advice to Management

With so many more opportunities available the automotive industry needs to focus on work/life balance for their employees.

I worked at Asbury Automotive full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Benefits
    Full Time
    Holidays Off
    Discounts on service

    Cons

    Management Sucks
    Can become boring
    Micromanagement in the BDC department
VERY VERY high turnover rate in EVERY department

    Advice to Management

Honesty is everything. It is ok to listen to your employees and let them do the job you hired them for. Micromanaging can be very overwhelming and sometimes suffocating. Ease up and let your employees do their job. You will lose employees every time if the dictatorship continues.
