I worked at Ascellon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Work Remotely, technology and equipment

    Cons

Underpaid for Clinical, HR is a joke, unrealistic work goals and time frame given to complete work duties

    Advice to Management

Hiring process is a joke and time consuming, HR Generalist is lacking many competencies and turns away good applicants from being hired... she needs to be let go!

    I worked at Ascellon full-time

    Pros

The pay is competitive but you work to earn every penny.

    Cons

The CEO is very condescending. She encourages backbiting and intimidation. The employees all work in fear of losing their jobs so they do a lot of snitching and under handedness to keep the spotlight off of self. You always have to watch your back. The CEO is only concern about making more and more money. There is no praise for the employees who work very long hours. You travel 100% without consideration of...

    Advice to Management

You need to reevaluate your life. If you don't respect yourself you definitely can't respect others. For the love of money is the root of all evil. REPENT!

    I worked at Ascellon full-time

    Pros

Outstanding employees produce quality work and encourage one another. Employees show up to work even during inclement weather or events that warrant all other area businesses and the federal government being closed. Headquarter employees exhibit perseverance, professionalism, and grit. Surveyors travel almost 100%, yet still deliver quality results in spite of the crushing work load they are given. The diner...

    Cons

The executive duo (CEO and President who are married) creates an emotionally draining environment for their employees. Upon interviewing with this company, prospective employees are told that the executive duo prides itself on Ascellon's excellence and innovation. The only innovation that takes place at this company is the creativity and commitment required by the executive duo to actively denigrate and micromanage employees...

    Advice to Management

Hire people to be buffers between you and your employees (Operations Manager and Project Managers). Do not interact with any of your employees unless it is absolutely necessary. On the days you are not in the office, everyone is happier and work is done just as, if not more, effectively as when you are there. It is you that is causing an unhappy and counterproductive work environment, not your employees. Take emotional...

I worked at Ascellon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The employees are some of the smartest, hard working people out there. You will unite and lean on each other when dealing with management. Plus, they will be the ones to make you laugh and cheer you up by talking about them and the things they do and say.

    Cons

It all starts and ends with management. Specifically the horrible way they treat their employees. I used to think the "woman" was a bad manager, it turns out she is just a horrible person. She is the most unhappy, insecure person I have ever professionally encounter and she takes all her self hatred out on others. While I was there, several employees just walked out. Think about how fed up do you have to be to just...

    Advice to Management

I have none. It would not make any difference. Every employee that has left this organization, either my fire or by choice, has come away with the realization that nothing will ever change. The owners are so clueless it is best to just get away than to attempt to reason with unstable people.

I have been working at Ascellon full-time

    Pros

There are no pros to working at Ascellon.

    Cons

Everything! The woman who runs this company is dreadful. You will get more respect and gratitude for a job well done from a rock. Horrible, horrible, horrible, place to be employed. Please save yourself a lot of heartache and do not become a surveyor with this company.

    Advice to Management

Look for a business opportunity where you do not have to manage anyone.

I have been working at Ascellon full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers, they are always willing to offer a helping hand. Great location.

    Cons

Benefits are just okay. President is very intense. She makes people feel uncomfortable like we are walking on egg shells all day. Works long hors and is expceted to stay late whenever we are asked. No salay increases or promotions. No job well done.

    Advice to Management

President, Lighten up on your employees. Make them feel comfortable when working with you. DOnt stress them out or make them feel bad. Provide training for new employees so they wont feel so confused or feel like they are not good enough. Change your shoe policy. Females would like to have their feet in sandals in the summer. Tuen the temperature up in the office or let us have heaters. Its freezing in here. Change your...

I have been working at Ascellon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

*Direct access/communication with executives *Great work atmosphere, with team lunch/dinners *Opportunity for growth *Competitive compensation & benefits package

    Cons

None. I have had nothing but a positive experience during my 3 months at Ascellon.

    Advice to Management

To be in business 20 years, you have to be doing something right. I have never seen a "small business" with employees who are so knowledgable, and proud of their work. There is an excellent organizational culture in place, and I'm proud to be a part of it.
