I worked at Ascendum Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ascendum does it's best to be as transparent as possible and they allow their employees a great amount of freedom in their work, if it's warranted. They made every attempt to be as fair and as accommodating as possible to me during my short employment with them.

    Cons

They have some very high profile contracts, however, this not always reflected in employee compensation, leaving very large pay gaps between people working directly with each other. Ascendum does make every attempt to compensate their employee's fairly, but the contracts between companies don't always reflect the Ascendum employee's best interest.

    Advice to Management

The loanDepot contract needs to be re-negotiated and the employees working on the project need to be compensated in a more comparable manner to the employees working on the loanDepot side. A bonus or a raise directly from loanDepot should be much more readily available given loanDepot's high reputation of treating their on-site employees very well.

    Pros

Very exciting company to work with. Focuses on emerging technologies and it's latest acquisition of a digital solutions company reinforces its commitment to its customers.

    Cons

CEO has shifted base to the US and spends less time in Bangalore. A new leader is appointed to manage India operations; however the team in India has less exposure to the CEO now.

I have been working at Ascendum Solutions full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The only thing I can say that is nice about this company is the you do get to work from home 3 days a week.

    Cons

There is way too many cons to list them all but here are a few. They are unethical and will make you tell lies to the clients. They will cheat you out of earned pay. Management will use you too hide their own mistakes. Sub par pay for the job. Will lay you off when business slows down. HR will not help you if you are being harassed and will threaten you if try to go to EEOC or lawsuit. Raciest. Will fire you if you mention that you are a Republican and god help you if you mention that you voted for Trump . But these are just a few....

    Advice to Management

Upper management and all of HR needs to be fired ASAP. The are unethical and are all lairs. They will make you do things that are shady at best and will get you into trouble in the mortgage industry.

    Pros

Can't think of a single, good reason to work there. Lots of empty promises for promotion, salary increases during interview that never materialized. No one knew what they were doing nor did they have any training in place for new employees. I had hoped for some ground-floor experience but was sorely disappointed. Competant leadership/appreciation from upper management was non-existent. Lower management was beyond adequate but overworked/underpaid so little time to assist or lead by example. Daily complaints among employees disappointed and disgruntled due to low wages and excess hours.

    Cons

Guess I've already shared the cons. This place is a revolving door that destroys morale. Run as quickly as you can...far, far away.

    Advice to Management

Pay salaries that are at LEAST close to median wage. Promote from within as opposed to hiring new employees who have not proven their worth. Rward exceptional performance with salary raises that show appreciation for a job well done. Lower performance expectations from 12 hour-days for "salaried" employees to no more than 9-10. Pay overtime as deserved. Reduce favoritism.
