    Pros

Room for growth, a lot of variety of potential positions and opportunities.

    Cons

Really depends on what department you get into. Management/supervision/direction differs dramatically.

    Advice to Management

Keep your employees happy and don't bring it too much outside leadership. It makes your employees feel like they aren't worthy to move up after putting in their time.

    Pros

Amazing mission to serve that they actually live by and build their business around. Faith-based so all faiths welcome and respected. Opportunities for growth abound and managers encourage growth. Many training opportunities. Challenging work and workload so never a dull moment. Good people to work for and with! Great benefits, good pay. Managers work shoulder to shoulder with employees in open, mobile environment. Work-from-Home Mobility Program being rolled out.

    Cons

No parking garage so serious hail damage, but then all of northwest Indy shared the same fate! Challenging work and workload can be intimidating, but have learned to ask questions and request help when needed. So many acronyms you practically have to learn a new language!

    Pros

Do not have to negotiate contacts. They have an external company that does all price negotiations. Good community and paid for charity work.

    Cons

So many rules and cliquey. Changes often which is good but fired a whole department because it was cheaper to outsource

    Advice to Management

None, everything is great and no problems that are too major. Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Ascension Ministry Service Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The MSC is a strategic cost-saving venture for Ascension Health, which began in 2011 and is still rapidly growing. The culture is somewhat progressive, and the constant growth and changes of the organization keep the associate experience from getting dull.
The MSC has an open, modern and collaborative environment, with free sodas and coffees. The benefits packages are very competitive, with relatively low medical premiums and an 403(b) employer match. Many fun acitivites and meals are planned for associates.

    Cons

There are software system limitations that are beyond the MSC's control, which slow operations down at times and even create the need for work-arounds to be put in place. This can be frustrating, but everyone at the MSC partners well with each other to get things done well.

As with any large and fast-growing organizations, communication across job levels is sometimes inefficient.

    Advice to Management

Continue working on communication across the MSC. Also, some additional "visioning" communication would be welcome to help all associates to keep the MSC mission and purpose connected to the work they are doing.
