Reviews about "good benefits"
Return to all Reviews- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Good employment benefits and big network of jobs
Cons
Horrible upper management. Worked to keep prior company open for years and Seton came in and took over. Seton brought in new management to reorganize and expand. Physicians did not support employees either after saving their practice. Unfortunately for me they stated that they needed to get rid of me because of budget cuts (not true) Seton has a system of benefiting a group of upper management because they walk in lock step requardless on how they treat employees. They play favorites and reward certain employees as long as they are good friends of management.

Pros
Plenty of opportunities to work Middle of the road pay Good benefits for employee Good retirement Opportunity for feedback at all levels
Cons
Benefits for families expensive Health benefits sub par for hospital workers Paid time off system is inadequate Middle management and lower senior leadership bogged down with bureaucracy

Pros
their benefits are good but other than that they don't give raises
Cons
unfair treatment of workers give others more duties than others

Pros
Good healthcare benefits. Provide funding for continuing education opportunities.
Cons
Decisions regarding clinic design and staffing are made at a very high level. Upper management makes decisions based on profits, not quality of patient care or adequate healthcare access. Manager covers too many departments to be able to provide enough supervision. Overcrowding of spaces. Understaffing of departments.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Disconnect between Upper Management/Administration and Clinical Staff

I worked with very dedicated, caring, excellent providers and some very dedicated, talented staff. Family atmosphere, in the clinic. Benefits were good. (Although 'merit' raises always seemed to occur just before there was a cost increase to Health Insurance.)
Cons
Spent 50-60% of my time completing Insurance Prior Authorizations and Appeals, 30-40% of time completing work for other staff members/parents of patients (due to short staffing, their lack of personal responsibility for their jobs, etc.) I was only able to devote about 10-20% of my time to direct patient care. Management was unresponsive to concerns reiterated over a period of several years.
- Current Employee, more than 10 years★★★★★
Pros
The benefits are good. The pay is for the most part the highest in the area. They have tuition reimbursement programs if you decide to go back to school.
Cons
Not every department follows clinical ladder programs. Which puts you at the mercy of supervisors who may or may not get a chance to work with you to move you up different levels. This process becomes very political.

Pros
The benefits are great. They provide good benefits and a very reasonable cost. They also give you several policies to choose.
Cons
The application process is very Lengthly. Once you apply, it could take several weeks before you get an interview,

Pros
There are some good benefits to working for Seton. The workforce is large enough to keep the price of benefits down.
Cons
In recent years this company has started "contracting" out almost every department. These occurrences are leading to shorter hours, lower benefits, lower pay and job cuts for Seton employees.

Pros
Fairly good health benefits. Large organization.
Cons
Increasingly becoming nationalized and corporate. The traditional mission of "caring for the most poor and vulnerable" no longer designates with Seton.
