I have been working at Ascension Wisconsin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Location
    -Good parking
    -Insurance is OK
    -Flex spending account

    Cons

    -Low pay
    -Poor management
    -No incentives
    -No room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees equally and stop with the favoritism. Make everyone feel involved. Something also needs to be done with the amount of bullying that goes on. My confidence and self esteem has went down since I started working for CSM. Write people up who misbehave, and do not do their jobs. Do not avoid it and pretend that it is not going on. When employees are doing well and are receiving compliments, let them know they are appreciated. These are just some reasons why morale is so low.

I worked at Ascension Wisconsin full-time

    Pros

Always enough hours if you want to work them.

    Cons

Co-workers would very frequently call in sick without always having someone there to replace them. People will call in sick without any sort of penalty. Way too many people take advantage of this.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring the worse people that you could find. Set more strict rules for people calling in sick. Then actually enforce those rules!

    Cons

Float pool called all the time for extra work or they canceled all the time. Not very consistant.

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, fun coworkers

    Cons

Company went downhill after sell out to Ascension. Lost good local jobs to big city profits. Morale went down. Everyone afraid of losing job next.

    Advice to Management

    Never put profit before community.

I worked at Ascension Wisconsin full-time

    Pros

    Good hours and health insurance.

    Cons

Management has favorites, they let some people slide by doing minimal work while others are expected to carry the load of the slackers.

    Advice to Management

Make sure ALL employees are doing their jobs. It's not fair that some people get to collect a paycheck for doing the absolute bare minimum. Regarding personal calls, the same rules should apply to all employees.

I have been working at Ascension Wisconsin part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Incentive pay for picking up extra hours, good summer/part time job for students

    Cons

Short staffed. Sometimes the work load is heavy. Some nurses refuse to help with patient cares even when they are the nurses “patients”. Very little recognization for all that we do.

    Advice to Management

Train nurses to assist with basic patient cares
