The best commercial finance employer you will find

    Pros

All departments work together to make the vendor and customer experience exceptional. Credit decisioning is lightning fast, usually less than 2-4 hours for deals up to $250,000. Competitive financial products for customers. Technology-driven vendor partner finance solutions for OEM's and dealers/distributors. You can approve, e-doc and fund your deal in less than 24 hours. Generous compensation plan Senior management will take your calls or emails and help out with anything in any department. Annual incentive trip for top finance producers to 5-star beach resorts. A culture of winning. I call Ascentium the "NY Yankees" of the equipment finance industry.

    Cons

No Cons to share. I wish I would have joined Ascentium many years prior.

Miserable to the point of unhealthy

    Pros

401k match Remote opportunities Competitive customer pricing

    Cons

After your initial interview, you’ll rarely interact with management again. You are a number and your numbers are your sole identifier. This company has absolutely no heart. Ideas for improvement are met with disdain and collaboration is not valued. Team leads openly humiliate team members who occasionally fall short of their call and volume KPIs via emails to the entire team. They also take credit for ideas proposed by team members and unprofessionally malign team members to other team members. The culture is atrocious and if misogyny is your jam, this is the place for you. The customer database has been picked over ad nauseam, and you’re often calling on customers who have no idea who Ascentium is (or are dissatisfied with their prior experience). It’s not uncommon for reps to leave without having secured another position, as they’d rather have no income than perpetuate the misery. You’re probably better off almost anywhere else.

    Pros

Vacation and healthcare, can work from home.

    Cons

People are afraid to speak out about management, but everyone knows the documentation and title team is now under terrible management. And the pay is not good for the amount of work. Your are basically a number to the company who doesn't take care of good employees.
