I worked at Ashland Water Technologies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people were great and are really interested in seeing everyone succeed. The company has great perks, even for interns, and really wants their employees to succeed and be happy.

    Cons

In at least some positions, there seemed to be the possibility for a lot of stress in order to make sure systems are always up and running.

    Advice to Management

Determine a rotation for being "on call" to fix any problems that come up, this way the most senior member of the team will not always be "on call."

I have been working at Ashland Water Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are some very talented technical people in the company who are fairly approachable for assistance.

    Cons

Training material is minimal and difficult to locate. Sales incentive changes every year - for the worse. Sales person burdened by increasing administration tasks. Marketing material poor.

    Advice to Management

Reward sales people. Provide employee guidelines for cutting through the red tape.

I have been working at Ashland Water Technologies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful mentors with years of industry experience, leaders of their respective research backgrounds. Ability to utilize all resources and facilities to see through all projects beginning to end.

    Cons

None to speak of really. Management tends to be on the older side, however this may have changed since my internship in 2009.

    Pros

A lot of Great technical expertise and a terrific product line: Management seems to walk-the-walk in supporting innovation.

    Cons

Not as well known throughout the USA as competitors. Reorganization makes things disorganized. No Pain; No Gain

    Advice to Management
