I have been working at Ashton Woods Homes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The culture at Ashton Woods is amazing. It's a bunch of talented, hard working, passionate people giving it their all every day.

    Cons

As a private company we only have so much access to capital which limits how much and how fast we can grow.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Don't ever forget how we got here as we get larger. We've been successful for a reason.

I worked at Ashton Woods Homes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interview process was easy, Good Pay and benefit packages. The office culture seems great. Upper management is friendly.

    Cons

    ZERO work life balance.
Customers of Ashton Woods are mostly very very rude.
    Very understaffed.
Complaints of some employees working 12 hours a day including some weekend just to do the bare minimum of what is needed.
Field culture is very toxic, negative and just all around depressing.
They overwork their employees and cut corners any place they can.
They blatantly put corporate profit above customer satisfaction.

    Advice to Management

You need to really listen to your employees concerns when they are presented, not just smile and nod. Do some research into the quality of life of some of your departments. When a new hire comes in and his co-workers are on the verge of tears every day because of the amount of work they have to do, that is a big negative sign.

    Pros

Management seems very open to feedback. The culture is a big focus and management really tries to make the employees happy. Lots of growth and ability to grow with the company.

    Cons

Not really a con of the company but the industry is super busy right now and there is a shortage with the trades which makes everyone a lot busier than normal.

    Advice to Management

Keep being open to feedback and making the employees feel important.
