I worked at Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The workplace was beautiful and lavish. Hospital security was really well. Departmental managers were supportive. It was a fairly good experience.

    Cons

It was all about the one-man-show!! The leadership style was predominantly autocratic, leaving no scope for employees to have their say. Employee satisfaction was low, and turnover high. There was an environment of fear rather than respect. Overall learning and growth were restricted.

    Advice to Management

Let everyone participate in the decision making process.

    Pros

    Cooperative Colleagues
    Good learning place for Freshers
If you can sustain here, you can work anywhere else

    Cons

You can be thrown to any department, beyond your knowledge.
Management can make operation of a patient through a non clinical staff , if they lack man power (Just an example), means 360 degree rotation on your job profile.
They least bother about your qualification, you can expect a qualified (Post Graduate) person can be given a work of 12th pass employee, means you have to do the same thing what 12th pass person is doing.
2 year bond is plan to earn money, as no one are going to sustain there more than 2 yr.

    Advice to Management

Don't loose your humanity in shake of money.

    Pros

You name and is not there.

    Cons

You name and still list is incomplete.

    Advice to Management

Be human to staff and even having more than 250 beds and got land at cheaper rate, contribute something to society instead of stock market. Instead of putting positive review immediately after negative, try to correct yourself.

I worked at Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Hospital practices highest standards of Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety
Excellent induction training to all employees
Provides opportunity to work in an internationally recognized, high-quality hospital setting. This is valuable for a lot of employees in their future career
    Discipline and attention to details
    International quality infrastructure

    Cons

Top down, authoritarian approach to management
Management tends to be rigid and uncompromising with regards to certain policies. For e.g. employees are not allowed to bring their own lunch to work. They must eat during set hours at the overpriced hospital cafe. Else they go hungry. It's a small issue, but certainly affects the employee morale
Location of the workplace is not well serviced by public transport and hence is inconvenient to reach. Lots of latecomers to work everyday!

    Advice to Management

They can be as responsive and compassionate towards employees as they are towards their patients/customers.
