I have been working at Asian Paints full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Values,Integrity, Mostly fair evaluation of people, focus on medium to long term and not a month driven company, good growth opportunities for people joining at officer level and performing.

    Cons

Pressure / no. of things to drive has increased drastically over last 2 years in sales - impacting quality/enjoyment of work and sense of achievement. Growth and compensation at m5 and above levels not competitive with market.

    Advice to Management

Greater engagement at work required (to go beyond just ic and contests) in view of increasing/changing expectations from officers (who are millennials).
Need for better growth opportunities at higher levels.
More time to be spent on establishing new products/categories (like earlier) rather than move from one product to another every month.

    Advice to Management

Some managers are just behind employees to ruin their career without any reason

I worked at Asian Paints full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits for the first five years

    Cons

Have clear discussions on career path, otherwise management is good at putting you in a spiral path.

    Advice to Management

In events of transfers, the decision has to be communicated to the employee. More important, please communicate the management's expectations so that the employee has a better view of his or her career path ahead. Don't impost decisions dumbly and expect the subordinate to keep guessing.

I worked at Asian Paints full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lot or learn about the basics of business. Good salary and on time bonus, salaray, and bill settlement

    Cons

No one will hear you if you are at officer level.Too much emphasis on dealers in relationship building and no heed to the the respect of officers .
You have to be Yess boss always, it doesn't depend if your suggestions and way is best. Management will down throught you, the way they want you to work and deal with situations.
I found a Dictator with the hierarchy of mine, irony is He is still with the company when everyone knows what He is... Still...

    Advice to Management

Sometimes keep your ears to the ground and listen to realities. Lot to do on front level especially in sales and marketing department.
Numbers can tangle outsiders and shareholders and market sentiments. But one day if you don't take care of the odds numbers don't take much time to downtrend!
