I have been working at Asiana Airlines part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers are nice. Cheap flights. Tasks are not hard once you get used to it. When in need of help usually other stations are willing to help long as they are not busy.

    Cons

I honestly dont see a future here.
I have had customers yell or curse at me.
Upper mangers dont really care about you (or at least here)
The pay is pretty cheap.. Even if you work overtime they dont pay.
American holidays dont count in paycheck because its a Korean company BUT korean holidays dont count because its located in American soil... kinda cheap. Only holidays that count is Christmas and New Years.

    Advice to Management

Working here isnt bad but can you raise our salary.. or at least give OT when we do work OT.
Listen to us when we see a problem and dont ignore it and later make us clean up after you.
And stop acting like you know what you are talking about when you really dont. It makes us even more baffled and we have to call other stations to verify just because you believe you are always correct.

  10. "Typical Korean Work culture"

    • Work/Life Balance
    • Culture & Values

    Pros

    1. Gaining a variety of experience including customer service and how airports work.
    2. Not a sedentary office job, meaning you get to go to different areas of the airport and move around if that's important to you.
    3. Sometimes exciting-- you get to see celebrities from time to time.

    Cons

    1. Typical Korean work culture (Korean hierarchy, etc.) The lower in hierarchy you are, the more hard work you have to do.
    2. Uncomfortable uniforms and shoes especially for ladies.
    3. Not enough man power and pay check.
    4. Fluctuating work hours that solely depend on the arrival/departure time of the plane.
