I have been working at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team members across the globe. Great product. Opportunity to work with a variety of customers.

    Cons

Managed services need to be redefined. Provide continuing training for staff and customers. With a small company, a bad hire or the exit of a senior staff member, can be felt for several months.

    Advice to Management

Work to build more collaborative partnerships with customers. Create a user group. Communicate more with staff to create a more open environment.

I worked at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    People in office are relaxed
Casual dress code- can wear jeans and polo shirt
Hours can be flexible- ie come in 10-7 or 9-6

    Cons

Constant leaving and replacing of staff in london/US due to bad benefits/treatment of staff
Only 20 days vacation but management take as many as they want
    No paid paternity/maternity
Very strict WFH policy (even when train strikes) but management WFH a few days a week even though it's a fully cloud system
Now dev outsourced to India the quality of the product has drastically decreased
Also company in last year and following year is fully focusing dev in metals
People over worked till they leave and then are replaced

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as a valuable asset than something replaceable
    Try re-hire Moscow
Give people at least 25 days vacation
CEO and CFO need to retire

I worked at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of challenge, technical and commercial. Some excellent professionals and low level of corporate intrigue. Healthy interpersonal atmosphere and high level of cooperation between teams.

    Cons

Completely incompetent top management. 'It's too technical' became sort of a motto for them. And it is a software company. Human resource management is in the dumpster either, instead of motivation we've got low class entertainment.

    Advice to Management

Get retired, though it's probably too late.

    Pros

Great product: complex, challenging and truly interesting to work with. Good people. Warm atmosphere, very pleasant interaction with colleagues (as long as management doesn't interfere).

    Cons

Aspect could have been an amazing place to work at. Unfortunately, it is completely ruined by management due to the hellish mix of ambition and sheer incompetence. The management team mostly consists of CEO's friends and family, and those few who miraculously don't belong to this circle are supposed to demonstrate loyalty and sycophancy rather than any kind of qualities that would suit for running a software development company. CEO himself loves to mention his experience writing code, but it's pretty obvious that he doesn't have any slightest idea about software development. The company lacks all sort of business strategy, product management is purely a "wow, let's add this feature, it looks awesome" sort of thing. People come up with good ideas every now and then, only to be completely ignored by management, and in rare cases when something useful gets done, management is happy to take credit. Salaries are less than satisfying, people are their own best motivation to stay, to keep working and caring about the product.

    Advice to Management

Retire. All of you. Although at this point even this is unlikely to help the company.

I have been working at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    For Moscow employers
    1) Salary higher then market
    2) Ability to work from home
    3) Interesting projects
    4) Nice people

    Cons

    For Moscow
    1) No bonuses, benefits, only salary
    2) Management ideas come unexpected without proper sharing, become unpleasant and then you will hear "your culture is like that, that is why you can not apply the changes"
    3) Management team lies too often to their employers

    Advice to Management

You should not treat your employers like sheep - we are highly trained professional.
Learn all lessons now, so you will not face this situation later.

    Pros

Good opportunity to self develop, as long as you can manage with complete independence.

    Cons

Everything previously listed and just about everything else in a work place.

    Advice to Management

Stay the way you are, you're not going to change. You are suited to your type.

    Pros

Unfortunately there are no positives hence why I left. Perhaps location is a positive but that's it.

    Cons

There is nothing new I can add or share as everything has been covered in the other reviews.

    Advice to Management

If the owners care about the business they should consider getting rid of the whole management team along all the incompetent people.

I have been working at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time

    Pros

You can get paid while you look for another job

    Cons

This company is run by the CEO for him and his family. Expect to work long hours with minimal breaks while the CEOS takes a minimum of 6 holidays a year, works from home every Friday, and bullies any staff member that dares to disagree with him. Senior managers are all incompetent and mistakes are all pinned on non-family/friends. Anyone who does not toe the line is removed by any means necessary. Do not work here!

    Advice to Management

Advice is for the owner : remove the CEO and all of the senior managers before the company gets itself into serious legal trouble through employee mistreatment

I worked at Aspect Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice central London location; some truly lovely coworkers. Most jobs are a quite easy gig if the nepotism doesn't bother you and you don't rock the friends and family boat.

    Cons

I agree with the earlier reviewer. If you don't already know why nepotism is a bad idea, this company will teach you the reasons. There is a definite distinction between employees in the inner "Friends & Family" circle and those outside it. First and foremost that only those in the F&F group will ever see a raise or experience job flexibility. The company does no annual reviews, and can be counted on to do only that which it is legally obliged to do - after exploring all other options. If you are hired as part of the Friends & Family group, you can expect to work from home on days when it is difficult for you to get to the office, and if you are not part of that group, don't even think about it. Tube strike? Figure it out. YOU can get in and delight in watching the CEO "work from home" every Friday or all of December when he makes his annual trip to Australia. You can look forward to getting to know the CEO's extended family who are brought along for a free vacation on every annual kickoff trip. They provide the entertainment. I'd rate them as decent entertainment (singing skills are quite decent) and the least offensive of the nepotistic actions. The worst bit is watching the inner circle be rather lazy and/or incompetent and take credit for the work of underlings they will never promote or give a raise to. It saps the human spirit.

I would think hard about accepting a job with Aspect. The turnover is exceptionally high, and they don't care.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to the owner: please take some interest in the company and get rid of this CEO.
