    Good place to work

    Pros

Good place for a first job. You will work with a lot of smart people in an Intellectually stimulating environment and there are many interesting events to attend. Most people are also very nice and committed to their work.

    Cons

Tends to be a siloed organization so it can be hard to get to know people from other programs. Entry-level salaries tend to be low.

    Pros

This was an incredible internship! It's a great work environment and the events you work are with some of the most well-respected names out there. They hire multiple interns so the community aspect is fun and enjoyable and the networking opportunities are endless. It was my favorite internship in college.

    Cons

You work a lot of long hours especially during the Aspen Ideas Festival but it's not bad because the events are incredible and you're paid well for overtime!

Collaborative culture, young office, some program overlap

Nov 18, 2020 - Program Coordinator in Washington, DC

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The workforce leans young, employees in their 20's and 30's, while executive leadership is much older. This offers a lot of opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and a fast paced environment with appreciation for work/life balance. There are tons of cool speakers and interesting events throughout the year, so a good launchpad for young professionals passionate about different social issues.

    Cons

There's little definition between programs of similar missions or aims, means there's a lot of competing for the same resources/speakers/event turnout. There can be a distance between leadership and the young workforce, and some misalignment on company values around diversity.
