Consultants of Fishbowl, I'm 31 and have ~$2m. No kids, student loans, etc... I'm also getting CTL'd. If you were in my position, would you scramble to get a new position or retire early?

Positive culture, noble vision to improve the livelihood of small business owners

Nov 10, 2021 - Sales and Marketing in Sandpoint, ID

    Pros

    1. Well-run company with strong, disciplined & compassionate management and reasonable resources to get your job done. 2. Focused on people, profitability, and documented processes/systems vs. a culture of chaos and reactivity. Clear and quick decision-making. 3. Genuine care for customers/clients - while creating a sense of belonging and shared vision that makes employees feel valued.

    Cons

    1. Make sure you like or are open to small-town living with a great ski resort and 5th largest lake in the U.S. - Lake Pend Oreille. 2. Lacks retirement plan/401K benefits (although on the horizon) 3. 1.5 hours drive to Spokane Airport when you need to travel on business or vacation but no traffic. Business travel isn't very heavy + technology and Zoom/Microsoft Teams conferencing is solid.

    Don't believe the hype

Jul 16, 2021 - Business Coach in Sandpoint, ID

    Pros

To be fair, they are good at sales, including selling employees on how great they are. But the culture issues and lack of professional integrity quickly shows up as the polish wears off.

    Cons

Have you ever been a salaried employee and had the time you walked into the office noted (every single day), or the number of bathroom trips, or how much time you spent at lunch... but not recognized for the consistent 10-12 hour days? This is the tip of the iceberg with the culture issues that run all the way to the top.
