    Pros

You are surrounded by hard working individuals who care. Aspire has a lot of resources to support the success of you and your students.

    Cons

Tough environment, you will have anxiety ridden days. Federal standards that may not be easily relatable to students. Morale can be low with employees looking for individuals to blame.

I have been working at Aspire Public Schools part-time

    Pros

Pay is great. Staff is organized. Schools are kept up nicely.

    Cons

Some challenging kids. I feel as they need a better discipline system.

    Advice to Management

Stop coddling the "special needs" children and figure out a way to teach them instead of letting them skate by through school.

    Pros

Excellent organization that provides a lot of opportunities for both educators and students

    Cons

Workload sustainability; teachers are definitely over worked

    Advice to Management

In regards to the "career ladder" it seems like the Senior Leadership Team and administrators play favorites.

I worked at Aspire Public Schools full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

At my site, the administrators were competent and really cared about the students and teachers. The work environment was professional and I feel like the admin strove to meet the needs of teachers, students, and families. My colleagues were great, too. The school had all the challenges of under-resourced inner-city schools, but I think Aspire is doing a great job. Much better than the public school system where I am. The pay was slightly better than at a public school. The benefits were very good.

    Cons

The same cons as working as a teacher in any public school.
