I worked at Asset Acceptance Capital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Uncap bonuses, 401K match, offer training classes.

    Cons

Managers were unprofessional. They start you off with the lowest hourly pay possible. If it wasn't for the bonuses a single person couldn't live off of the salary provided let along a person with a child or children.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to quit.

I worked at Asset Acceptance Capital full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent health plan (not high-deductible), at least until they were bought. Some nice people worked there who had been there a long time. Moved to nicer new offices in 2016.

    Cons

Silo'd environment; stopped buying debt after purchase. Management had a lot of entrenched people not open to new ways to do things.

    Advice to Management

None, really. Management is clear that Asset has a limited lifespan and eventually no one will be dedicated to working there.

Depending on the office, upper management was very flexible and created a good working environment

    Cons

HR seemed to want to run the company and always had their hands in operations' business

    Advice to Management

Run your business according to the company's vision

I worked at Asset Acceptance Capital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Uncapped bonuses. No drug test to hire in. Flexible attendance

    Cons

Micro managing. Supervisors would tap into calls and force you to say rude things in an attempt to make customers settle debts

    Advice to Management

Be more concerned about employees and their well being if the company is acquired again. Severance packages should have been more hefty.

I worked at Asset Acceptance Capital for more than a year

    Pros

Regular hours, very good benefits and healthy time off. The pay was not great but if you had a good team, you could make a healthy bonus.

    Cons

There was way too many friends and family that worked there. Some leaders who were uneducated would look down on those who were educated (me).

    Advice to Management

My advice to them is to promote higher education and let people think for themselves. Stop trying to act like you know everything.
