    Pros

Good company to work for. Good benefits, most of the people were friendly. Get to be face to face with customer and help them with their questions.

    Cons

With the changing world of banking they wanted to get more people to do online banking, deposits with the ATM etc.

I worked at Associated Banc-Corp full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nothing positive to say as I was in management. Bankers had good options to make additional money from sales competitions. Tellers were only given $5 per closed referral, after threshold was hit. Credit card referrals were usually stolen by bankers which negated the ability to participate in those contests for decent amounts of money.

    Cons

No ability to advance in IL Understaffed, given guilt trip if you call in sick or take vacation. Expected to do the job of more then one person. Upper management doesnt care and expects overtime if needed.

    Advice to Management

Staff your branches. Your turnover rate is way too high due to employees being overworked or made to feel guilty if they want to take vacation or stay home when they are sick.

I worked at Associated Banc-Corp full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Training programs and trainers are EXCELLENT - Benefits are good

    Cons

    - Compensation is bottom rung. I was embarrassed with some of the salaries that I had to offer to new employees. - Little effort spent on Marketing in the Minnesota market. - Verint scheduling system runs staffing like a joke. One teller and one banker? This delivers poor service to customers when everything is in DUAL CONTROL and you constantly have insufficient staffing. Couldn't schedule a vacation without worrying...

    Advice to Management

Get down to the BRANCH LEVEL. Not in a fake way... really DIG IN and find out what is actually going on. There is a lot of BS that comes up the management chain. Don't believe something at face value. Talk to the tellers and bankers in a way that will let them feel free to really share.
