    Pros

    Good terms and conditions, brilliant peer support, great opportunities to advance, open access of learning and coaching, very paternalistic organisation

    Cons

    Most individuals have been at the company from boy to man so it is quite a difficult environment to get into as everyone knows everyone

    Advice to Management

    Take more risk

    Highly skilled and thorough senior management setting very good standards;
    If willing to learn can gain lots of experience because the business is multinational and varied;
    Study encouragement and support;
    Promoting people internally;
    Good people overall;
    Kitchen stuffed with food.

    Cons

    No bonus;
    Teamworking could be better;
    Most of businesses located outside london.

    Advice to Management

    Introduce even small bonus based on performance for staff on all levels; it would be motivating;
    Organise more team building events, like an evening events or a day away.

    Strong values about being good to the environment and the community
    Great opportunities to move around the company - if you can get yourself known
    Flexible and autonomous culture

    Cons

    Teams work in silos and there is a clear hierarchy in place that causes division between the 'haves' and 'have nots'
    Very few policies and practices are written down, so you need to be good with ambiguity

    Pros

    Friendly, relaxed work environment. Opportunities to progress and move around for those that express the desire to. Varied workload. Flat company structure ensures management are easily accessible. Young people given a lot of responsibility.

    Cons

    Talent management and personal development could be better. Roles and responsibilities could be defined better. Office politics can be quite intense. Sometimes younger employees are given tasks that they don't have the skills/experience to complete successfully.

    Advice to Management

    Make expectations clear. Understand different team member's personal style and adapt their communication to suit. Set clear strategic vision and ensure all members of team clearly understand their very important role in helping to achieve it.
