I worked at Associated British Foods full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good terms and conditions, brilliant peer support, great opportunities to advance, open access of learning and coaching, very paternalistic organisation

    Cons

Most individuals have been at the company from boy to man so it is quite a difficult environment to get into as everyone knows everyone

    Advice to Management

    Take more risk

    Kitchen stuffed with food.

    Cons

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Associated British Foods full-time

    Pros

Strong values about being good to the environment and the community
Great opportunities to move around the company - if you can get yourself known
    Flexible and autonomous culture

    Cons

Teams work in silos and there is a clear hierarchy in place that causes division between the 'haves' and 'have nots'
Very few policies and practices are written down, so you need to be good with ambiguity
