    Pros

Autonomy, good team environment, smart people despite leadership

    Cons

I have been working at Associated Veterans full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good salary, likeable owner, fair. Management overhead is minimal.

    Cons

Contractual arrangements typically don't allow for telecommuting options. If (when) the Government shuts down, pay stops. The Company does not carry a bench - not even for one day. The Company is too concentrated in one agency. When contracts aren't renewed, there's no place to move to and you're out on the street.

    Advice to Management

Consider some sort of short term pay arrangement to cover uncontrolable events such as a government shutdown.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Associated Veterans as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some talented IT contractors working in the organization.

    Cons

Associated Veterans frowns upon telecommuting and promotions appear to be based upon likeability, as opposed to talent.

    Advice to Management

Allowing your personnel to telecommute fosters allegiance and creates happy workers.
