    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Association For The Advancement of The Blind & Retarded as an intern

    Pros

Will give the opportunity to someone who is new to MSC, and will teach you how to navigate the ID/DD system.

    Cons

Director is too busy micromanaging the staff, treats everyone like children, unprofessional, doesn't do the job, and pushes it off onto others, overbearing, and does not recognize all of the potential that there is in the department.

No raises. No supplies to work with. Not enough support from upper management. No room for promotion.

    Advice to Management

Stop blaming staff for your downfalls and take ownership for your own faults.

    Pros

You get to work with people, who though disabled, are among some of the best people you will ever meet.

    Cons

Some consumers are severely disabled and hard to work with, even if they are awesome people.

Coworkers can be hard hearted at times, especially those that have been there a while.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who are not in it JUST for a paycheck.
