I have been working at Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I only worked with AURA for a short time in Hilo, but the entire team is wonderful. Even the delivery guys and contractors have been great!

    Cons

    It's not a permanent role. :(

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you do.

    Pros

If interested in science, astronomy and research, the company offers work in a non profit organization.

    Cons

The organization is almost entirely dependent on National Science Foundation and NASA funding and is subject to the federal budget ups and downs. Advancement is very limited.

    Advice to Management

Have more opportunities for flexible work environment to attract a younger work force.
