I worked at Assystem full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People at the coal face are great to work with, management do not bother you as they are all inexperienced and out of their depth.

    Cons

Again poor management, jobs given to friends and individuals who fail in other departments. Some managers are more concerned with their office romance/brides maid outfit rather than doing the job they are paid to do. No investment in processes, no development in people. #lameducks

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of the sand, the ship is sinking and the very people you rely on too bail you out, are the people you are neglecting on a daily basis.
    Thanks for the careers advice!

I have been working at Assystem as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pros are when you get paid correctly and on time

    Cons

False advertising on recruitment. Apply for one thing get given something else. Poor management. Correction, no management. Sent to customers site. Left to fend for yourself with no induction. It then takes 3-4 weeks before anyone comes to check on you. They don't care about employees you are just a number

    Advice to Management

I think it would be advantageous to yourselves and the company if you went and refreshed your management skills. What you demonstrate is that you have none. Pay your staff a better rate of pay. You might find if you paid better and treated staff well they might stay with you for longer

I worked at Assystem full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People that I have worked with are really good. Work is pretty laid back. Flexible working.

    Cons

No training received. Salary not even close to market rate. Many people get treated like they are of no use to the company. False promises. Managers are not qualified for their job except few.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff well and provide training opportunities. Please pay the ongoing rate.

I worked at Assystem as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Young vibrant office in Bristol. Close links to Airbus uk. Employees very good technically and experienced in the aerospace industry.

    Cons

Very aggressive projects and deadlines mean it can be quite stressful.
A lot of effort is spent firefighting and being reactionary - but that is symptomatic of the U.K. Aerospace industry in general.

    Advice to Management

Nurture the young grads and try and bring people through so that you don't have o rely on contractors.
Give projects more attention before they go wrong rather than nice they have gone wrong.
