I have been working at Atheneum Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good for recent grads.
    - Poorly paid immigrant job (well, if you're an immigrant, Atheneum will offer you a job, which is cool)
    - You get to learn cold calling skills, and cold e-mailing skills - which is nice.

    Cons

    - Poor training
    - Below competent managers (junior folks with zero to little experience are made Team Lead who cannot even craft professional emails)
    - As long as you are a 'yes' person, things will go seamless for you; if not, you can be deepshit
    - Non existent bonus

I worked at Atheneum Partners (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Team dynamic: Supportive, friendly, diverse, international
    - Gain insights to various niche markets
    - Develop relationships with senior and c-level professionals
    - Create individualized strategy for operations, you can test what works and what doesn't
    - Laid back atmosphere but can get fast paced with bigger projects
    - New projects every day

    Cons

The learning curve is higher in the beginning but this can be nurtured by getting support and having practice. Overall, the job is what you make of it. Hours could be a bit more flexible.

    Advice to Management

More than 1 team event per month. These mingles will boost team morale and increase overall productivity and satisfaction.

I have been working at Atheneum Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The new york office has great people, great culture, and very start-up feeling environment.
    - Exposure to different projects and different industries; if you are willing to dig in deeper into the project you can potentially learn a lot about the structure and trends of different industries
    - All those negative reviews about the management team don't exist here in the NYC office: the team is new but tightly managed. The CEO for the company and the North American are both here ready to listen to any feedback or suggestion anytime.
    - Smart people: all new hires are smart. Diverse team. Fun Culture. Happy hours and Christmas parties
    - You get the chance to learn what's new and challenging in the business world, talk to senior leaders in different industries, and get trained to be a professional "negotiator" by negotiating with so many different smart people on the phone
    - Grow your network: potentially you can grow your professional network by engaging with the experts and making them like you.
    - Career growth opportunities: new office in NYC so great potential for career growth. Especially if you are hard working people.

    Cons

    - Yes the work itself is indeed heavily "calling" and "chasing the experts". However, it depends on how you make of it. Ii think there's more to get out of the job.
    - Tough market: strong competitors in the market. Not sure about the company's differentiation strategy yet. Hope that there is one.
    - Might vary from office to office: the NYC office is new and thus very fresh and lively. Other offices in Germany/China I don't know. There should be more interaction and collaboration between different offices

    Advice to Management

Happy to grow with the company. Hope that it will have a long-term grow strategy.

    Pros

This company offers the employees a great opportunity to learn a lot about different industries and the consulting world while working with a very international and diverse staff.

Additionally, the company is growing so there is plenty of room for advancement. However, even if you don't want to stay around long term, I believe this type of work can be "sold" very well on a resume and can function as a great platform to jump into other careers.

    Cons

The work does get repetitive after a while, but the bonus system rewards Analysts that become extremely efficient at their job.

    Pros

This is a very international company that has a lot of room to grow. It was a relaxed and flexible environment while still being focused on reaching new clients and projects every day. Everyone was very friendly which made for a pleasant working atmosphere. The company also really strives to create solid relationships with a lot of very diverse companies.

    Cons

The communication between both upper management and among all of the different offices could have been stronger.
