I worked at Athens Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a family owned business and is a solid company. Somewhat recession proof. I worked there for over two decades and they were always good to me. There is room for advancement also making it a very attractive choice in employer.

    Cons

I don't really have anything to say in this arena. The experience was great for me and it is a very professional environment.

I worked at Athens Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Growth potential and job security - well established, family owned business. Athens Services promotes from within and compensation is generally competitive.

    Cons

My personal experience is that the owners are completely unforgiving if you make a mistake in your personal life. No matter what you have done or shown yourself to be for many years, once you get into trouble they will turn their backs on you and never give you an opportunity to discuss the situation.

    Advice to Management

I will refrain from answering this item.

    Pros

    Stable company. Payed every week.

    Cons

Sure u can progress, so I've heard, u have to kiss the right butt and have connections and if ur like me and don't like to do that then your screwed. Seniority means nothing. No sick pay.

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding with the employees and their request to have certain days off we have families.

I worked at Athens Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fast growing company, plenty of opportunities if you willing to stay for the long-haul. Low turnovers from middle management and lower.

    Cons

Fast growing equals growing pains. New executives, every few years from outside companies haven't seen much anyone promoted after middle management level. No development plan for employees. Poor leadership from senior executives.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and they will take care of you. However, the company is doing well, growing very fast.

I worked at Athens Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay as long as they don't keep changing the commission structure. I think they change the commission plan more often than the oil in their trucks.

    Cons

Too much turnover. Instead of proper training, they kill momentum by firing good potential talent. Service lacks which makes selling difficult. Management does not trust employees. There is favoritism and inside snitches. Watch your back or you will be next to get a pink slip.

    Advice to Management

Avoid hiring your management staff from the local AA meeting.
