I have been working at Atkins full-time

    Pros

Intersting diverse work. Relaxed working environment with flexible work hours. People are generally very friendly.

    Cons

Salary is pretty low compared to local market rate. Career development often left to staff to try and find opportunities with little help from senior staff. All day tends to be spent sitting staring at the computer monitor in silence with little team interaction.

    IT system is terrible.

    Advice to Management

Then focus on keeping staff, your only asset, happy. This includes paying the going rate and making sure that career development is actually supported rather than just a box to tick on everyone’s yearly appraisal.
