I have been working at Atlanta Braves part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Access to ballpark fans would only dream of. Lots of community, TeT had mainly young people on staff. Great environment.

    Cons

Cheap pay, not much responsibility though. Can get boring if the team sucks.

    Advice to Management

Pay us more. You're a multi-million dollar company. You should give us more than 8/hr for seasonal work. Still a great environment though

I have been working at Atlanta Braves part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The fans are awesome. I love interacting with them. They make it work while. And it's and exciting place to work at.

    Cons

Long hours low pay, pay to park management doesn't recognize all hard working employees. Have to work long distance from car to stadium.

    Advice to Management

The pay is laughable and they should be ashamed of the pay. You need to increase the pay to keep good employees.

I have been working at Atlanta Braves full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, most of the staff is friendly and helpful. After all it's baseball!

    Cons

Long hours but that comes with the territory. Not much emphasis nor direction from the company regarding professional growth or developing any mgmt/leadership skills. It's up to you to discover ways of developing yourself. As long as things are "seemingly" going well you're left alone. No proper training or protocol to follow, you find out as you go. There is a lack of accountability/transparency in some areas.

    Advice to Management

Atlanta executive mgmt. get more involved! "Seemingly well" is a bad place to be. Turn over should not be high in any area of your full time staff if everything is "well". Don't lose good people for lack of knowledge or because you don't want to ask the hard questions. "I didn't know that was happening" won't cut it in the end. Don't let a few bad apples ruin your wonderful tree.

I have been working at Atlanta Braves part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Braves baseball:) interact with many fans during the game. . Everyone works as a team and other departments are always there to help you if needed. 99% of employees are happy to be there! Every company has that 1% but it is what it is.
3 hours before game is prep work making sure everything is ready for fans. Then once gates open its: Hand out stickers, Give directions, Check tickets, call appropriate department if issue such as engineering or housekeeping. Shifts are generally 6.5-7 hours a game.
Your shift is approved a month ahead of time so you know when you are working and when you aren't. Shift swaps are easy if you want to pick up a shift.
Overall it's a fun place to work, you are there to help the fans and get paid to do so, upper mgmt is there and willing to answer questions and maybe you get to watch a little baseball!!!

    Cons

Pay to park in employee lot.

I have been working at Atlanta Braves part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

As a gameday worker, the job is a lot of fun and you meet tons of new people. I basically point people in the right direction whether it be to their seats, finding bathrooms, beer, funnel cakes, or any other item you can imagine. My goal is to make people smile and make their experience at Turner Field unforgettable.

    Cons

They don't pay much, but that will probably increase over the years. My job requires me to stand almost the whole time, which is anywhere from 6-9 hours, your legs get tired during long 10 game homestands.

    Cons

None that I can think of

I have been working at Atlanta Braves part-time

    Pros

Flexible. Great learning experience. Able to receive free games from manager. 15% discount on merchandise.

    Cons

Not family oriented. Huge divide between full time and part time staff. Have to pay to park. Expected to do a lot but little appreciation and rewards. Pay is low when compared how much work is done.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate part time employees more. Treat full time and part time employees equal. Each member is important piece to the organization. If it wasn't for the part timers, a lot of the full timers wouldn't being able to succeed in their goals.
