Cons
Head of School, CFO lacking leadership

Pros
Involved parents. Bright students (although some are a bit spoiled with too strong a sense of entitlement)
Cons
Since he become Head of School, Rabbi Leubitz has made no real connections with faculty or students. He has made a series of poor decisions involving curriculum and schedules that have made students and teachers alike very unhappy. As a result, enrollment in the high school is down a lot this year. Teacher morale is also very low, and many teachers - General and Judaic Studies alike - have already made it known that they will not be back next year.

Great Teacher Unsupported by Leadership
Feb 24, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There is a lot of freedom of subject matter (depending on the subject), methods of teaching and timing of unit. Co-workers are all very hard working and qualified.
Cons
Multiple changes in leadership -- every two years on average -- and a lack of backbone causes stress among faculty members. Systems which are in place are not followed and teachers are not supported. Also uneven work loads among teachers cause discontent. Principal doesn't have good communication skills.

Pros
The teachers at the Academy are fantastic and really lovely to work with. You also get to work with some really great students as well.
Cons
In all honesty there are some challenging students, but there always are. The organization of the process of being hired needs to be improved.
