    Pros

A great opportunity to impact the lives of children, while working for and with some great people.

    Cons

It is very hard to manage everything that is required from an administrative while meeting the needs of the students that you are trying to impact.

    Advice to Management

Create a better balance for administration, faculty, staff, and students to be able to enjoy their time together.

    Pros

Highest paid district. The students have colorful personalities. Great people to work with.

    Cons

No work life balance. The work required doesn't match the pay. Teachers are under valued and over worked and blamed for factors out of their control.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Atlanta Public Schools full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are a lot of great people who work at Atlanta Public Schools and the compensation is higher than neighboring school systems.

    Cons

The management is horrible. The "leaders" do not want to lead; they want to bark out orders and have employees follow them blindly. The exact same culture that facilitated the Cheating Scandal is still present under the current administration.

    Advice to Management

Truly learn to be leaders. Provide your employees with support and guidance. Create the "caring culture of trust and collaboration" that you speak of in your vision statement.
