I have been working at Atlantax Systems full-time

    Pros

This is a small family owned business and most employees have been with the company for over five years. Everyone gets along well for the most part and there is very little turn over. The hours are very flexible and they have a generous vacation policy. Good place to get your foot in the door of a niche industry.

    Cons

Since it is a small business and most people have been in their position for years, especially at the management level, there are not many opportunities for advancement. The company operates around monthly tax due dates so it can get stressful at certain times each month.

    Advice to Management

Better communication from the top down would be helpful. Staff often wonders what direction the company is going in due to lack of communication from upper management.

    Pros

Camaraderie amongst employees. Most of the lower level employees have formed bonds with each other and the relationships formed extend beyond the work environment.

    Cons

Lack of trust in senior management and the decisions being made. Rampant nepotism that does not add value to the organization, and drains employee morale. No employee development, and employee talent is wasted.

    Advice to Management

Must work on building trust with employees. Trust in your tacit knowledge base and LISTEN to your employees.
