The residents can really make your day! Free meals if you worked in the kitchen!
Cons
Some residents can be very demanding and impatient. Sometimes the kitchen would run out of things,

If you work a 12 hour shift you are able to get a free meal . The food is very good.

Pros
The only senior living company that truly puts the residents first. Great energy and attention to detail to improve the lives of residents. Everyone from the top truly seems to care, and responds to questions quickly. They have rules that really improve lives in the long run and are not micro-managers. Each community is allowed autonomy to the extent that they need it. So nice to have free meals each day and the food is awesome. The benefits are great if you take advantage of them!
Cons
The job can be all-consuming once you get to know the residents and care about them. There are also a number of responsibilities that take more time than people realize, and days can quickly get away from you while spending time with residents. In order to get work done, most days are closer to 10 hours.

Pros
Free trip to Kentucky Free meals/ that's only a pro if you have a good cook-they are not all good
Cons
I feel really bad for the people who spend so much money for the awful service that they receive at these communities. They are definitely in it for the money and not the care. The culture of the communities, and I can speak in plural after reading so many reviews from many different areas in the states, is absolutely a disgrace. Some of us really care, and want to bring love and comfort to the residents who live their, while others choose to gossip and have clicks. These are those in higher positions. All I can say is you will reap what you sow. When you find yourself on the other side wonder what you did to deserve the treatment you are receiving, think about how you've treated people. I had high hopes when leaving Kentucky, and was let down like never before.

Pros
The residents as well as my coworkers are all very friendly. Atria provides a free meal daily and it's good food. The facility is clean and well managed.
Cons
The pay is too low and the hours can be brutal.

Pros
The leadership in my area is amazing. Employees are provided with 1 free meal per shift and are celebrated throughout the year with different types of recognition.
Cons
Work/life balance is a challenge

Pros
I liked the residents and got a free meal
Cons
Pay is low. They play favorites with the schedule. If you are a mom they will give you a better schedule but if you don’t have kids they expect you to work evenings, weekends and all the holidays. Discrimination against the childless!

Pros
I loved talking to (most) of the residents, although some were harder to handle. The food was amazing and we were offered one free meal during our break which I always looked forward to. The managers made sure I felt safe in the case of a resident getting upset, where managers would intervene.
Cons
I heard a lot about how my co-workers/waitresses suffered from sexual harassment by the cooking staff. I am unsure if that has been resolved by now, but it made it a very uncomfortable work environment. There were no tips as well, making the job feel underpaid for how much we were expected to do.
