    Pros

Work from home, your own hours, decent benefits

    Cons

A little hard to keep up, too much time spent in front of the computer, not worth it for the small salary.

    Advice to Management

They should pay their Counselors better.

    Pros

Great cultural experience especially if matched with a great family. A lot of possibilities for traveling and learning at the college.

    Cons

A lot of work, depending on how many children in the family. I would discourage people who are not willing to work, and don't have a lot of patience to even apply. Working with children is not for everyone.

I have been working at Au Pair in America as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a contractor there's freedom from having to work a straight 9-5 schedule
Event and meeting planning `for program participants affords many areas to be creative.
Required meetings can be scheduled during traditional non business hours

    Cons

Low pay with no merit raises
Detachment from upper management - Departing contractors must alert colleagues and other business contacts. No acknowledgement of staff departure.
Office and out -of -office- cliques. Management favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Merit raises and/or bonuses. Acknowledgement of staff. Less cronyism.

I have been working at Au Pair in America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hosnestly I dont think there anything positive about this company. The families can do whatever they want with you.You migh have to work 60 hours a week but NOONE is gonna pay you extra money for that.If you have any type of problems the company is not gonna help you because they dont have ,,time´´ for this and you should be able to solve it on your own.I am not saying that all the families are nasty but most of them wont respect you and your privacy. They dont care if you have something to eat or not and you gonna have to spend your own money on it.

    Cons

The only good thing is that you got to practice your language skills
