I worked at Auberge Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent company structure. The upper management really works to ensure each employees input is valued and they encourage hiring for management positions from within.

    Cons

Can be difficult hours but not worse than any other service industry position.

I have been working at Auberge Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company Exec's are amazing people. Very down to earth. Warm and friendly. Actually love seeing them because they take the time to speak to line staff and genuinely care.

    Cons

Insurance is good, not great. I've had a lot of medical expenses that have left me with quite a bit of burden. They are a smaller company, but still think they could offer better medical coverage. Dental, vision, etc. are great. Just medical

I worked at Auberge Resorts full-time

    Pros

Good work/life balance, many international staff, full time benefits are good such as ski pass in the winter, great location, good relationships with other employees, prestigious status of hotel, compensation for overtime, good work culture/community

    Cons

can be super stressful at peak periods such as christmas/new years, presidents weekend, easter, some summer events like food&wine but it's not a big deal

    Advice to Management

should really look into providing incentives/benefits for longer term employees - maybe already available in some departments, but definitely not all...

I have been working at Auberge Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good challenges to invest in good properties. A great place for entrepreneur types, who like to jump in and solve problems. Plenty of opportunity to be creative and build great experiences for guests. Guest service is very good, with a lot of focus on connection.
There are a lot of great people to work with, at all levels of the organization.
The hotels succeed because of people who take pride in their work, and want to do their best, learning and growing as they move ahead.

    Cons

All new top executives in the past 18 months. The current state of the corporate company is very scattered. Execs are focusing on the minutiae, instead if crafting a clear vision for the company. They get into the middle of small things, and blow them out of proportion, taking the focus off of activities that would grow the company and generate significant revenues.
Feels like each day is a series of fire drills, so there is no chance to get ahead of the curve.
Opinions change from day to day, so plans that were agreed on can suddenly switch and be the "wrong" plan, without warning.
Execs are excessively negative, creating a culture where nothing is right, nothing is good enough, and even successes get pulled apart, giving attention to all the shortcomings.
The company was really in a good growth trajectory a few years ago. It seems like that momentum is missing. The existing hotels are excellent places, but it's hard to see where they are headed at the moment.

    Advice to Management

Instead if trying to manage the small things, creating stress and frustration, work on communicating a clear vision and direction for the company, and each hotel. Without vision and strategy at a high level, everyone becomes short sighted, unable to make plans and achieve larger goals.
Find some wins, and celebrate them. People will be more motivated to work for you if you acknowledge their achievements and encourage their growth. Reserve the stick for serious problems, and use the carrot to get people to go where you lead.

I have been working at Auberge Resorts (Less than a year)

    Pros

Auberge du Soleil is an amazing place to practice amazing hospitality. They are also considerably generous with perks for their employees: complimentary stays after one year of employment, free employee meals while working, competitive pay, and performance-based reward system for when employees go out of their way to do an amazing job.

    Cons

There is some lack of organization behind the scenes. It wouldn't be noticeable to any guest, but for one who has worked in hospitality for a long time, there is room for improvement.

I have been working at Auberge Resorts full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Beautiful place to work, great co-workers and clientele.

    Cons

Low pay, lack of authentic appreciation by management towards associates.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your role and decisions that have resulted in long time, dedicated employees leaving the company within the past year.

I worked at Auberge Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many opportunities for overtime, private resort so minimal riff raph. Can be very busy so time flies by. Classy guests.

    Cons

No time to spend money depending on how often you accept the opportunity to make overtime pay. The property can be very hot during the summer.

    Advice to Management

    Implement more quality audits
