    Advice to Management

Audigy Group needs to increase attention to their roots in the audiology field and help the members gain market share and turn their companies into profiitiable and succesful practices. Their main revenue stream is kickbacks from their members selling their private brand hearing aids to their patients. Audigy needs to provide more pricing and products options for members according to their socio/economic demographics....

I have been working at Audigy Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I've worked for Audigy Group for several years now and let me tell you - it is a tough job. I am constantly challenged by members, by my coworkers, and by leadership...and I have never grown or developed as much in my entire life. In previous jobs it was easy to fall into a rut and put in the minimal effort - that is never the case here. It's an incredibly dynamic, fast changing environment and you either keep up or...

With all the innovation happening and all of the new things we discover that can make us better, faster, smarter comes a lot of work. Without some serious prioritizing it can feel overwhelming. It takes time to figure out how to balance all of the priorities. Every member is important and everything they want and need from us is important and making that all fit into the day can be tough....but as 50+ people on the...

    Advice to Management

Continue to recognize everything the teams do everyday. The quality of the people we work with is incredible and hearing your recognition is priceless. Help the SBU's prioritize and do what you can to simplify new initiatives. With so much innovation it can easily become complication - keep it simple!

I have been working at Audigy Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Management team is very focused on employees achieving their goals. The phrase "willing to invest in employees that are willing to invest in themselves" is used frequently in this organization and the team has held true to this. You may have to get out of your comfort zone, but if there is something you want to accomplish, they will help you do so. I've never worked for an organization that was so focused on their...

    Cons

It is an ambitious, agile company. Always has been, always will be. With that, there sometimes is confusion, mis-steps, or changes of direction. I don't know if we ever get out of that mode but pro-actively looking for ways to minimize the impact would help.

I have been working at Audigy Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have been here for three years, and I can say this is hands down the best job I have ever had. Number one, I love the people I work with. The group of individuals that work at this company are smart, creative, fun, and incredibly supportive. Number two, this company has done a great job of laying out a career path for me. At my last job I was there for over five years, and never once did someone talk to me about...

    Cons

There are three things that come to mind as cons. You are busy. There is never a dull moment, and always things to do, new things to research, people to help. This leads to my second con, work life balance. If you come from a job where its a pretty easy gig and where you can come in late and leave early, this will not be that. You will need to have good time management skills and know how to handle a to do list....

I have been working at Audigy Group

    Pros

I have worked for Audigy Group for over 8 years. I started in the early years, the "bootstrap, believe in the mission, and we'll figure it" out days. Maybe that gives me a different appreciation for what we have built and how far we've come, different from others. I know a few things to be true in my tenure at Audigy Group. 1) We are not perfect yet we strive to be. 2) I have never worked in another organization that...

    Cons

There are always cons to a fast growing company. Sometimes we move too fast and, as a result, things get missed. Sometimes we may get a little ahead of ourselves or take a while to recognize a mistake. That's life, we deal with it, learn, grow, and adapt. The culture here is a very special, unique one and the pros far outweigh the cons.

    Advice to Management

I have always believed in the vision, the commitment to building something greater and impacting thousands of lives. We are on that course, stay the course! Learn from the lessons and keep steering the ship the way it needs to be. The environment you have created, the vehicle for personal, professional, and financial growth is a great one and for that, you should be proud.

    I worked at Audigy Group

    Pros

The training and career progression is incredible at Audigy Group. I started my career there right out of college and grew in a short period of time to lead a team. They are supportive, progressive, cutting-edge, and savvy in their growth. They offer an amazing benefits package.

    Cons

The only downside of working here was that they are located in Vancouver and unfortunately I needed to be in Seattle. They do not offer bonuses for the execution side of the business but more for the strategic employees.

    Advice to Management

Continue what you are doing! You lead by example and you have truly paved the way for any management company in any industry. You are in inspiration and dedicated to changing the lives of those around you.

I have been working at Audigy Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I've spent the past 10 years as a part of the Audigy team. My first four years were in what is now known as the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) team as a Marketing Manager. Those were the start-up days: full of optimism, bootstrap effort, late nights and rapid growth. As someone who experienced that unique start-up, "Audigy-family" culture, I can understand how it wouldn't be the right fit for everyone. That being said,...

As you would expect, I have days where I have to pinch myself and days where I have to take an Advil or two! It is hard work starting a company. It is hard work supporting small business owners who face fierce competition. It is hard work inspiring people to get out of their comfort zone. It is even harder work pushing myself to get out of my own comfort zone! My sincere perspective is that Audigy has great expectations...

I worked at Audigy Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good people are churned through there, so the short relationships with some of the fellow hirelings is a 'pro.'

    Cons

Biggest challenge is dealing with a 'leadership' team that really doesn't have any leadership skills at all. It all trickles down from the owner who hypocritically preaches it but struggles with it himself ('both personally and professionally'). The owner really doesn't have any true friends because he's shady and burns everyone around him. Only ones that stick around are those that are young and enamored by dollar signs...

    Advice to Management

Owner needs to leave his ego on the doorstep and bring in some true leadership. If not, sadly, the wicked internet world is going to eat him and the company up. No fake reviews from the few that still work there can cover it up the truth unfortunately. Let go, open your mind and accept that you truly are not the leader you think you are. This will help both personally and professionally.

    Audigy Group Response

    March 4, 2015Director, Talent Acquisition

This is a hard post to respond to as it’s more of a personal attack than feedback on the employment experience. Regarding the so called fake reviews though, our team is full of passionate and dedicated people and their enthusiasm is apparent to anyone who spends time in our offices. ...

I have been working at Audigy Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've worked at Audigy Group for over 2 years. During that time, I've been fortunate to work with some truly great people. One of the trends you will see in all reviews for Audigy Group is the quality of the people that call the company home. Its true -- I've made friendships here that will last a lifetime. These are smart people who are genuinely interested in learning and doing their absolute best. I work in the marketing...

I don't have the work-life balance issues of some of the other folks who have posted reviews, but my role within the company is very different than most. I do lament that sometimes our collective focus is set on keeping up with the daily demands of the job and not as much on innovating for the future. But I've worked in lots of places where that has been the case. It is a fine balance to be kept. There have been numerous...

    Advice to Management

Continue to take positive criticism to heart. You've made great strides in being more available to rank-in-file staff which is a good thing. Realize not everyone is motivated by the same things. Lean heavier on the smart people you've brought into the organization who have proven themselves outside of AG. Now, if only Glassdoor allowed us to sign our names to our words/thoughts.

I worked at Audigy Group for less than a year

    Pros

The people are wonderful - always warm, friendly, and helpful. Snacks are sometimes set out for all - sometimes just because someone felt like bringing in bagels or donuts or something, and surprisingly often it's something the company president's family decided to make and share. The company tries to open plenty of opportunities for employees to learn and grow beyond their positions. Company goal is to help medical practitioners,...

    Cons

There is a lot about the "company culture" - especially the CEO - that rubs many people the wrong way. "Drink the Koolaid" jokes are quiet, but common. The company's attempts to help people grow often places inexperienced people in positions of power, and some of the company's hardest workers sometimes go unnoticed and unrewarded. There are numerous processes for numerous things, but they often aren't known about and...

    Advice to Management

Be more concise with the speeches - the whole company history doesn't need to be recited at every company meeting. Watch your emotions - it's good to let passion show, and to occasionally even get into deep feelings, but again, doing it too much starts to come across as unprofessional and, sometimes, even fake. Spend more time talking with the lower-level employees (not just management) to get a more complete picture...
