I have been working at Augusta University part-time

    Pros

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in improving patient care. They are also extremely supportive of employees wanting to further their education and career.

    Cons

I really can't think of anything negative to say. Staff and management are extremely friendly and I feel like the hospital is leading in evidence based practice.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! Management has a lot more on their shoulders due to the emphasis on evidence based practice, but I think they are doing a great job.

I worked at Augusta University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, most staff are helpful and work well together

    Cons

Understaffed; patient to nurse ratio is 6:1 a lot of times with pct or cna staff understaffed as well. Not safe for patients or staff

    Advice to Management

Advocate for Nurses and PCTs ; listen to your RNS and PCTS regarding patient safety . Need more hands on management to help with staffing issues. Need assist manager or charge nurse to be free of patients to help support nursing staff for patient safety.
