I have been working at Aureus Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Aureus Group has an excellent culture and does everything that they can to get their employees prepared for the recruiting/staffing industry. Training is top notch, lots of community involvement and well tenured group of people that really do care about their team/employees.

    Cons

Business can be a tough one to learn if you are new to the game

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Great teams, great energy, great about helping those that are committed to do well.

    Cons

Because of their size, can be a challenge to shift, in addition the commission structure is complex and lacks transparency across the organization.

    Pros

The people! This company really promotes team and training. Great place when you're just getting into the staffing business.

    Cons

Management loose sight of the goals at time and why we are here to help others and can get caught in the process of making money over and hitting numbers over making solid placements.

    Advice to Management

New talent gives birth to new ideas and new ways to achieve your mission statement. Sometimes growing up in a company doesn't always make the best leader.

    Pros

Good initial training for someone new to staffing industry. Follow up training is available but not as good. They do have some talented people still there but have also lost some. Starting pay is solid. Bonus pay is better for Account Managers than Recruiters, despite both being equally important.

    Cons

Struggling in the market place. For a staffing firm they make very questionable internal hires, including the managers (lots of turnover), Account Managers and Recruiters. Even for this industry the turnover in Aureus Group is too high.

    Advice to Management

Nedd to do a better job hiring from the outside. At times seem desperate to outside candidates. Also need to be upfront with the challenges you are facing don't sugarcoat it. Be honest, the candidates will find out within weeks of arriving on your current struggles. They treat new hires great for first few months, needs to continue beyond that. There is definitely favoritism from the head of Aureus Group for employees that she knew on the outside prior to their employment there.

I have been working at Aureus Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For the team I work with, excellent management, great co workers, and comfortable environment! They really feel out ones strength and utilize it to their potential! It's up to you if you want to advance in this company

    Cons

Bonuses are based on what the team does verses what one does individually. Sometimes it may not be much if the team is having a bad period and you have great period

    Advice to Management

Thank you for all of your support!

I worked at Aureus Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very team oriented. Good niche groups. Focused work efforts. Unmatched training investment. The company knows what they're doing.

    Cons

Very numbers oriented which turns leaders into micromanagers. Review on negatives instead of build on positives. Fear driven workplace at times. No autonomy.

I worked at Aureus Group full-time

    Pros

Good team to work with besides management.

    Cons

3 managers in 6 months. Not exactly what I would call stable. When you take your top producer and make them a manager over your team and allow them to still recruit while telling everyone else how to do their job it causes dissension.

    Advice to Management

Need to overhaul your directors and start fresh, some people have been there too long and have their job because they have stayed.

I have been working at Aureus Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Beautiful building. Ongoing professional development is a plus. Classroom training is extensive. Active with local charities.

    Cons

Low base salary. Their performance metrics are NOT enforced across the board, then used as a fall back in order to fire employees for "non performance" even though performance is same as peers. No honest transparency regarding staff turnover when asked during interview.

    Advice to Management

Believe in the professional development that is provided to employees and live up to your end of the bargain by following through with on the job training. Benefits received for cost of insurance low. You spend so much to invest in training/development for your employees yet discard them ease.
