    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Australia and New Zealand Banking as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

None to speak of. Bike storage in Wellington building was good. Contract was easy to get out of when it became plain it wasn't working.

    Cons

Managers sometimes have absolutely no ability. Outsourcing has gone too far: send a request to China to update a webpage? Why not train your local team to do it.

They have money but don't have sense.

The National Bank acquisition never took properly in NZ and there are still deep divisions. The Digital roadmap looks 5 years old. Agile practices run skin deep. It's a boys club.

    Advice to Management

Break the company into smaller units to innovate.

I have been working at Australia and New Zealand Banking full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work life balance is good.

    Cons

Your manager can be someone from a service based company like Wipro, who will have full authority to ruin your career.
Management is totally blind on what is being done as part of BAU project deliveries.
Managers give bonuses & promotions only to them who belongs to their lobby and own group.

Incapable and incompetent managers who inculcates lot of bureaucracy in the system.
Management is fully hypocritical in saying that its a global team comprising of Sydney and Bangalore locations, whereas in reality, it is not.
A 8 yr exp professional can be your(suppose you are having 14 yrs exp) manager , as he belongs to same lobby as the higher management , just by the virtue of both being from the same ex-employer.
    No onsite travel.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes, walk your own talk, - there are people beyond your group, who could be more capable , more competent. and more productive for the organization.

    Pros

Didn't get chance to work, I would have been really disappointed if so

    Cons

I got hired, and my joining is in June, management decided my package and sent offer letter to acknowledge it without any intimation and HR Discussion on package, and was asked to reply on that with in 5 days, time frame is not done yet and management has hired different person and I came to know this by calling up the person who hired me and they said its behavioral issue.

Dnt know what to say about this kind of hiring process.

    Advice to Management

Please know some ethics of hiring people
